"Martha Feelings", co-written by Kevin LeMay

So ends the story of Felix Feelings in grade eleven. Now, it is summer. Will grade twelve be better? Will Felix finally find his soul mate or is he doomed to be misunderstood and alone? I think there is hope. Felix assumes he's the exception at Sunnyhaven High - but he might soon find a kindred spirit. It is true that unique artists like Felix are a minority, but there are others. So, to end the last Felix Feelings Itch on a high note, I would like to show you examples of other sensitive souls in high school.

Here is an excerpt from a student's poem that was published in my grade eleven yearbook
(I am not making this up):

You see me as you want to see me...
Don't lie to me.
Don't tell me you haven't looked at me with a critical eye
and said, "What a geek."
Every day I would pass you in the hall,
you would quickly lean in towards your friends and whisper audibly,
"Look at what she's wearing..."

Your friends, like you, would nod in unison and whisper in the same tone of voice,
"Seriously. I can't believe he's dating her."
Then you go on about how I'm not good enough for him,
and how he deserves someone so much better,
like you.
You look at me and stare at me from across the hall with your critical eye,
smirking to yourself.
"What a geek," you say once more.
"She's such a wanna-be-loser."
But do you really know who I am?
Do you really know who he is?

To you, he's the epitome of perfection and I'm nothing.
But give up.
You won't begin to know who I am...

Here is a song about lost love

Finally, an enlightening podcast
